Samples Approved

We’ve approved the production samples for the Sleeves of Obscuring — which means we’re officially moving forward with the first immediate-fulfillment run.

These are opaque, single-card protective sleeves (the kind you’d normally use to protect trading cards during play)… with one key twist: they’re built specifically to support the 5e "unidentified item" rules (remember those? they're pretty tough to implement with just pen & paper)!

If you recognize the design, it's because they're what inspired the Daily ID unidentified-item-guessing game!

What Makes Them Different

The front of the sleeve is printed opaque so players can’t see the item details until the moment their character would actually learn what it is; either through careful study for the wise, casting Identify for the cautious, or just plain old attuning to it and seeing what happens.... for the "brave"!

But it’s not a total blackout — because that wouldn’t be fun.

The opaque face includes two transparent windows that reveal:

• The item’s image
• The item’s type

In other words: the things a character could reasonably see or infer in-world — and the clues a player can use to start making deductions.

When the item is properly identified in-game, the card comes out of the sleeve and the full details are revealed.

A portion of this first order is being allocated for Immediate Fulfillment rewards.

If you want to win Immediate Fulfillment, the fastest way to stack your odds is simple:

• Earn more raffle entries
• One of the main ways to do that is participating in the Daily Unidentified Item
