Independent, Hands-On Review by Save vs Justin
GUILD HALL UPDATE 2026-03-28
Independent Review + From Index Cards to Production
We’ve got something a little different (and important) to share today.
As we gear up for the launch on April 21st, we've asked for an honest, independent, non-sponsored review of the PackMule Ultimate Inventory System pre-release from Save vs Justin — and this is exactly the kind of feedback we’ve been waiting for.
Justin takes a look at the Solo Legend's Bundle (Levels 1-20) and gives us his thoughts!
An Honest Look from Save vs Justin
Justin’s channel focuses on practical, table-ready RPG content—especially around playing with kids, newer players, and making the game more engaging at the table.
He’s not coming at this as a sponsored creator or a hype piece.
He’s coming at it as a GM, a player, and a gamer dad who cares about how tools actually function during real play; we did not sponsor his channel or this video beyond sending him the free pre-release set to review.
That’s what makes this one valuable.
(The link above is a timestamp link to the review, but if you're interested in finding out more about Justin's Item Card Journey, there's another couple of minutes of content!)
From Colored Index Cards… to This
There’s something else tied to this that’s worth showing.
Before any of this existed (before the Guild Hall, before the Card Creator, before production files and proofs) the first incarnation of this system looked like this:

These were literal colored index cards, cut up and written by hand.
Weapons scribbled in pen.
Armor tracked with sharpie.
Stacks of cards rubber-banded together and thrown in a box.
It worked... haha, but, uh, barely. How many of you have set-ups just like this, right now?
It was messy, slow, and every time something changed, it meant erasing, rewriting, or starting over.
A Long Way Forward
Now compare that to where we are:
- Fully designed, print-ready card system
- Organized decks by type, rarity, and function
- The Book of Holding tying everything together
- A Custom Card Creator that replaces all manual work entirely
And—most importantly—
No more making anything by hand.
That part matters more than anything else.
Because the only reason this isn’t still a pile of index cards is because of the Guild.
The interest, the feedback, the early support! It’s what pushed this from a personal tool into something real.
More updates soon! Can't wait for the launch on April 21st!
